Hundertwasser's comment on the work

They say people have managed to run up house walls. It is only a change of 90 degrees. (from: Catalogue Museum Ludwig, Cologne, 1980, p. 258)The horizontal belongs to nature, the vertical belongs to man. Actually, man should be able to walk up the walls the way he does over a meadow if this is the only surface he can claim for himself. That is why this surface is also a meadow interspersed with windows like little ponds. The windows are in the typically Viennese hot-water-bottle form, i.e., with keystones.(from: Hundertwasser Architecture, Cologne, 1997, p. 33)One would have to be able to walk up walls; only if you can walk up walls will you be lucky with women. (from: Hundertwasser 1928-2000, Catalogue Raisonné, Vol. 2, Taschen, Cologne, 2002, p. 502)
